Photographer David Johndrow will be exhibiting “Terrestrials” at L. Nowlin
Gallery March 2-April 10, 2010. The opening reception will be held on Sat.,
March 6, 2010 from 6-8p.m. As part of West End Gallery Night, an additional
reception will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 6-8 p.m.
David Johndrow is a fine art photographer based in Austin, Texas. His portraits
have appeared in many publications including, Rolling Stone, Entertainment
Weekly, and GQ magazines. His photographs are part of the Wittliff
Collection of Southwestern and Mexican Photography.
In 2004, Johndrow began combining his interests in gardening and
photography to create “Terrestrials”, his ongoing series of macro nature
photographs. Johndrow explores the complex world inhabiting his Texas hill
country garden. Photographed in their element, his subjects express an
immediacy and wildness that cannot be captured in a studio or as a
specimen.
